Hi friends,
I’m going to keep things brief this week because I’m on a deadline. I did that thing where I pitched an essay and then stressed about whether the pitch would get accepted and then, when it did accepted, I stressed because now I have to write the essay! For those of you who’ve been reading for a while, you might remember that essays are not my comfortable writing place.
So, if you’re currently writing something that’s challenging you, pushing through doubt or imposter syndrome or simply feeling like you have no idea what you’re doing, know that I’m right here with you. Putting one word after the other (and the other, and the other, and the other—seriously, I’m only halfway through my first draft and have already hit word count; somebody save me).
But seriously, I’ve come here for one reason and one reason alone—to cheer you on, to be that voice that says, I believe in you, you can do it, you’ve got this, or whatever you need. Because it makes me feel so much better to know we’re in this together, and I hope it helps you a little bit too.
Please feel free to let us know what you’re working on in the comments so we can all give one other a little encouragement this week.
Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy these adorable baby elephants and their majestic mama while I try to conquer this essay! And I look forward to next time.
Yours,
Jen
You’ve cheered me up 😊. I’m reworking a piece that’s driving me mad! Thank you and good luck with the essay.
I’m here cheering you on, too!
